For a second consecutive year, the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov opened the new academic year and greeted the students from the UNWE Regional Center for Distance Learning in Haskovo.

For a second consecutive year, the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov opened the new academic year and greeted the students from the UNWE Regional Center for Distance Learning in Haskovo.

Prof. Dimitrov outlined that because of the pandemic one difficult year for the university and business <span>had passed</span>. He pointed out that due to distance learning and the information technology development the health and lives of students, staff and lecturers had been successfully &nbsp;protected. The Rector added that there`s a great potential of UNWE - Haskovo to develop as an educational, scientific and cultural center.

Prof. Dimitrov outlined that because of the pandemic one difficult year for the university and business had passed. He pointed out that due to distance learning and the information technology development the health and lives of students, staff and lecturers had been successfully  protected. The Deputy Regional Governor of Haskovo Mrs. Violeta Zheleva and mayors from the municipalities of Haskovo and Kardzhali region came to greet the students. Among them were the Deputy Mayor of Haskovo Municipality Maria Valcheva and the Mayor of Kardzhali Dr. Hassan Azis who greeted the academic community.
