XXII Tennis Tournament for Rector`s Cup

On behalf of the Rector Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev the organizers and competitors were greeted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stela Raleva, Vice Rector for Education in the EQD of Master and Distance Learning. At the final competition attended also Prof. Georgy Yankov, UNWE Professor Emeritus and Chairman of St. George the Victorious Academic Sport Club, the UNWE partners from Barocco Sport – Nikolay Staykov, Sport Director and Valentin Ivanov, Tennis Club Manager.

The Tournament Director Assoc. Prof. Marko Dimitrov announced the ranking results and opened the ceremony on awarding the winners. Prof. Yankov presented the guests for the Tournament – the Chairman of the Tennis Club in Haskovo as well as the Chairman of the Tennis Federation Coaches Commission who gave prizes to the winners - tennis balls and postcards signed by Grigor Dimitrov. Nikolay Staykov awarded tennis racquets to the champions.

The traditional part of the ceremony – the Cup for Fair Play was awarded to Assoc. Prof. D.Sc.(Law) Zhivko Draganov by the Chairman of the Academic Sport Club Prof. Georgy Yankov (in the picture below).

The Head of the Physical Education and Sport Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Spas Stavrev awarded a Plaque of Appreciation to the Director of RCDL – Haskovo Assoc. Prof. D.Sc.(Law) Zhivko Draganov for the hospitability during the final phase of the Tournament (in the picture below).

Assoc. Prof. Raleva awarded the Cup to the winners and wished the Tournament confirmed as a significant sport event and a wonderful tradition of UNWE to keep attracting more and more participants.
