On December 14, 2022. the Academic Council of UNWE voted unanimously the proposal for awarding the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa of UNWE to Dimitar Radev, Governor of BNB, submitted by Prof. Dr. Rumen Brusarsky in his capacity as Dean of the Finance and Accounting Faculty.
The honorary academic title is awarded for the merits of Dimitar Radev as a world-renowned economist and expert in the public finance management, for his significant contribution to enhancing the reputation of UNWE as a research and educational center of national and international importance and for strengthening the authority of the Bulgarian National Bank, stabilizing the banking sector and developing the financial system of the Republic of Bulgaria.
