Framework Agreement of Cooperation between The UNWE and The Defence Institute “Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov”

A Framework Agreement of Cooperation was signed by the Rector of UNWE Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev and Prof. Dr. Todor Tagarev, Director of the Defence Institute Prof. “Tsvetan Lazarov”.

Prof. Stattev and Prof. Tagarev are signing the Agreement.

The document provisions cooperation between both institutions for conduction of discussions and consultations in the preparation of academic programmes and in the scientific research in the field of security and defence, implementation of educational exchange of good practices, preparation of statements and surveys, organization of visits and academic internship for students form out university at the Institute, etc.

The Framework Agreement that we have signed will improve our cooperation, will strengthen the interaction and will open new opportunities of cooperation between both institutions, declared the Rector.

The Agreement will be an impulse for our joint work, outlined Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Head of the National and Regional Security Department who is a Coordinator on the implementation of the Agreement from the UNWE.

At the signing attended the members of the Rectors Council.

Defence Institute “Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov” is a scientific, experimental-construct and expert-technical unit to the Minister of Defence. It is established in 2009 and it is a successor of the rich traditions of former military-scientific organizations. The Institute develops scientific research, scientific-applied and experimental-construct activity in the field of armaments, systems C41, military engineering and military-technical properties.
