European Review of International Studies (ERIS) Published A Research Done by The Lecturers from The UNWE

The lecturers from the International Relations Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evgenia Vasileva and Prof. D.Sc.(Pol.)  Atanas Gotchev published in the journal European Review of International Studies (ERIS) their research on the International Cooperation in Early Warning and Conflict Prevention Global v Regional Approaches – UN and EU Models.

The research studies the international co-operation models and approaches to preventive policies at the international institutions. The article is focused on the comparative analysis of the UN and EU approaches to early warning and conflict prevention activities. One of the major objectives of the research is to reveal the way of practical integration of approaches in the activity of organizations. Besides there is a wide scale analysis of the literature related to the strategies of early warning applied by the international institutions and organizations. In evidence are pointed out facts from the practical experience of the authors in designing systems of early warning in the frameworks of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in various countries.

In the research is examined in details the essence of the models for early warning and preventive policies of the EU and UN as well as their peculiarities and dynamics. It is made an assessment of strengths and weaknesses of approaches and practically feasible aspects related to the necessary optimization of mechanisms for adequate conflict preventing policies in both organizations are pointed out.

European Review of International Studies  is a specialized magazine focused on publishing the achievements in the field of political sciences in European and global plan. The magazine has high requirements of review and publishing which are strictly observed.
