UNWE – Partner in A Project of Leonardo da Vinci Programme

 On October, 9th, 2013 between the UNWE and the National Agency represented by the Center for Human Resources Development was signed a contract for implementation of the project 2013-1-TR1-LEO04-47840 8 – Definition of Local Authorities` Vocational and Educational Training (VET) Activities for Rural Tourism within the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) financed by Leonardo da Vinci Programme – Partnerships. By the UNWE party the leading role in the project has the Economics of Natural Resources Department and Coordinator of the project is Prof. Dr. Diana Kopeva. Duration of the project is two years and the leading partner is Taskopru Municipality, Turkey. Participants in the project are five organizations from four countries – Bulgaria, Italy, Turkey and the Czech Republic.

The main project objective is to define the needs of vocational training for the local authorities related to the rural tourism development within the EQF. On this basis must be defined solutions to overcome the identified gaps and to develop exemplary educational programmes in the field of rural tourism at all levels emphasizing mainly on the vocational training.

The project purpose is to strengthen the capacity of local authorities in rural regions regarding the economic and social development by activating their role in the process of tourist activities development in rural areas.
