In The Annual Scientific Session Was Summarized The Academic Research Activity

In the traditional Annual Scientific Session of UNWE was summarized and given a vision of the academic research activity during the year. There were presented 40 projects completed in 2012 and oriented by their analyses to the actual international and national scientific issues.

In business order the Forum was opened by Prof. Dr. Valentin Goev, Vice-Rector on Scientific Research Activity, who outlined the importance of the scientific session presenting the results of the academic university community in the field of scientific researches. In the programme are included research projects completed during the period December 2011 – November 2012 which are totally 112, pointed out at the opening of the session Prof. Goev and differentiated the scientific product – 13 international projects, 10 of them financed by the National Fund for Scientific Researches, one project on the 6th and one project on the 7th framework programme, one project on the Programme for Competitiveness. Prof. Goev also pointed out the issues with reduced target grant for university scientific researches which was 450 000 BGN in 2012 in comparison with 2009 when it was 1 200 000 BGN. A lot of projects were started four years ago and only 6 ones were started in 2012, pointed out the Vice-Rector and expressed his hope that in 2013 the target grant would be larger.

The work of the Forum went on by presenting the projects followed by discussions which gave the opportunity to be outlined and examined various issues of the university research programme. In the three sessions were included presentations of the forty university projects and among them were: Resources, Rights and Potential Opportunities in Search of the European Social Foundations (Coordinator Prof. Dr. Katya Vladimirova), Sustainable Development and Competitiveness of Bulgarian Economy (Coordinator Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Rumen Gechev), West European Enterprises Re-localization in Bulgaria: Direct Foreign Investment and Intercompany Relations after Joining the European Union (Coordinator Prof. Dr. Valentin Goev), Business Environment Research in Bulgaria (on the basis of a survey of Bulgarian companies evaluations and expectations) (Coordinator Prof. Dr. Georgy Mishev), Industrial Dynamics in Conditions of European Integration (Coordinator Prof. Dr. Diana Koleva), International Competitiveness of Bulgarian Export Industries (Coordinator Prof. Dr. Antoaneta Vasileva), etc.
