The Association of Language Schools in Bulgaria Held a Trial Exam in English in the Cambridge Format at the UNWE

Within the frameworks of the first Competition of the Association of Language Schools in Bulgaria /ALSB/ a trial exam for B2 and C1 levels of English in the Cambridge format was held. In the trial exam took past pupils from the ALSB member schools.

"It is a pleasure for me to welcome you at the University of National and World Economy. The Association of Language Schools in Bulgaria gives you the opportunity to take a trial exam in English according to the Cambridge format and in compliance with all the exam rules required in the real exam", said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasil Petkov, Head of the International Economic Relations and Business /IER and Business/ Department and Chairman of the ALSB, and added: "We hope that this trial exam will help you to test your knowledge and will give you the confidence and self-confidence to take the real exam".

"The Association of Language Schools in Bulgaria is a new association. It was initiated by the University of National and World Economy, in particular by the Faculty of International Economics and Politics and the IER and Business Department. The Department is the first in Bulgaria to provide training entirely in English in the field of International Economic Relations. The UNWE provides also other specialties taught in English. We strive to be in line with the times and have reached the point where, in symbiosis with the Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics Department, we have decided to do this trial exam, which is for the acquisition of a Cambridge level", said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Boneva, Dean of the International Economics and Politics Faculty: "You participating in the first trial certificate exam, your work will be evaluated by colleagues from the Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics Department of UNWE, which is one of the best departments of foreign languages in Bulgaria and you will have the opportunity to check and test your knowledge. You are the people who would have no problem, after passing this exam, to continue your studies in the specialties taught in English at the University of National and World Economy".
