The second Kaufland - UNWE Business Academy was launched.

"Kaufland is a very stable partner of ours that supports the learning process responsibly. The proof of this is the second edition of our joint project Kaufland - UNWE Business Academy. We are very contented with this collaboration, it is an example of partnership between the education and business that gives added value to the students of UNWE. By participating in it, they have the opportunity to experience a real business environment, to conduct internships in the company and even to find their first job", said the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov.

The Executive Director of Kaufland Bulgaria Ivan Chernev expressed his thankfulness to Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov for the collaboration. "We tried with other universities, but it did not work. Only the UNWE reacted quickly and flexibly and together we carried out these ideas. Due to the Rector, the UNWE develops extremely successful projects with the business and becomes the University that provides the best personnel on the labour market", said Mr. Chernev, adding that the Business Academy, in addition to providing new knowledge to students, inspires them to want to be part of one of the most dynamic business sectors in Bulgaria. "After the previous academy 9 people already become part of our team. I hope to see you as future employees of Kaufland", addressed Mr. Chernev to the newly enrolled students in the second Academy.

The Kaufland - UNWE Business Academy will last for five months. The programme is focused on building practical skills in line with the current trends and challenges in the retail market. It will include 15 lectures divided into 6 thematic modules covering all key aspects of the business environment in our country. Students will gain complex knowledge from leading experts in the retail business - from planning and programming in a highly competitive environment through the implementation of orders in the market and building brand identity to maintaining and developing a large team. For the most ambitious students the Academy also provides additional courses to build the so-called "soft skills". One of the advantages of the Business Academy is the opportunity to develop real business solutions based on actual business cases. The programme also provides a two-month internship in the company which is tailored to the employment and needs of the participants.
