The RCDL of UNWE in Haskovo Opened the Academic Year 2023-2024 with a Record Number of First-Year Students

The UNWE Regional Center for Distance Learning /RCDL/ in Haskovo started the academic year 2023-2024 with the record number of 260 first-year students. 180 of them are students in Bachelor's degree programmes in Management and Administration / Accounting and Control / and Economics, and 80 of them - in Master's degree programmes in Accounting and Control / Business Administration / Communication Management / and Local Self-Government.

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov addressed a virtual greeting to the first-year students and wished them success in mastering the knowledge.

The Vice Rector for Educational Activities Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova welcomed the new students and spoke about the excellent work of the University with the secondary schools in the region. Among the guests at the ceremony were Tsanko Tsankov, Director of Atanas Burov High School of Finance and Economics, Gergana Petrova, Director of Acad. Boyan Petkanchin High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, etc.

Prof. Dr. Nadia Mironova wished a successful new academic year and outlined a new direction of RCDL in the work with projects. In this relation two projects have been submitted that will lead to improvement of facilities, equipment and the creation of digital learning content and URV courses.

The opening ceremony continued with a musical welcome by the dance group Veselie which includes students from the UNWE in Haskovo. They brought joy to the students, lecturers and guests attending in hall.

Greeting addresses were received by the Regional Governor of Haskovo Ginka Raycheva, the Head of the Regional Department of Education Eng. Veselina Pavlitova, mayors of municipalities and guests.
