The Rector Was Awarded an Honorary Plaque from the Human Resources and Social Protection Department

An Honorary plaque on the occasion of the 50^th Anniversary of the Human Resources and Social Protection Department, the 70^th Anniversary of the specialty Economics of Human Resources and the 32^nd Anniversary of the specialty Insurance and Social Work was awarded to the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valery Apostolov, Head of the Department, in the presence of all members of the Department.

The plaque is conferred for the Rector's contribution to the development and promotion of the Department. The Rector was awarded also by a jubilee collection on the Labour and Social Protection in the Conditions of Global Societal, Economic and Social Changes. The decision for the award was taken at the last session of the Department in June.

At the same session the Department has decided to support Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov for a second term as Rector of UNWE.

"The Rector started his term 4 years ago, along with the crisis, for which we were not prepared, not only we, but the whole world wide. And in this difficult situation, the Rector took actions that created a perfect organization of work. The UNWE was one of the first universities to incorporate the online learning and the educational process continued smoothly and without disruption. All the things that Prof. Dimitry Dimitrov did, raised the image and the authority of our university", said in his speech Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valery Apostolov.

"Due to your management in the recent years and your care not only for the educational process, but also for the lives and health of the people who work here, the University not only did not interrupt its work, but continued to be a leading not only in Bulgaria, but also in the Balkans. We think that your decisions will bring the University to an even higher national and international level", added Assoc. Prof. Apostolov.

On the occasion of the jubilee the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov awarded to the Human Resources and Social Protection Department the Honorary diploma for strengthening the good name and prestige of the UNWE and a statuette of the founder of our University Prof. Stefan Bobchev.

"We shyould appreciate the work and efforts of several generations of lecturers and scientists who for decades have been preparing professionals in the field of human resources, social protection and insurance, professionals who are successfully realized as managers, experts and specialists. I also greet the current team of the Department, creator of high standards in education and science, which has made its specialties one of the most preferred and most desirable at our University", said Prof. Dimitrov.
