Public Lecture of Japanese Professor and Opportunities for Cooperation between The UNWE and Meiji Gakuin University, Tokyo

A public lecture on the Very Japanese Company delivered at the university Prof. Makoto Kanda, lecturer in Strategic Management at the Meiji Gakuin University, Tokyo, Japan. The Japanese Professor talked to students of speciality Economics of Tourism about the traditional companies in the country and their sustainable development. The event in the Ceremonial Hall was organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paskal Zhelev, Secretary General for International Cooperation and Assist. Dr. Hristina Boycheva, lecturer at the Economics of Tourism Department.

Assoc. Prof. Rakovska, Vice Dean in Scientific Activity of the Economics of Infrastructure Faculty opened the public lecture and presented the guest-lecturer. He examined the contribution of Japan to the strategic management and innovations development in a global plan.

Prof. Kanda outlined the results of his research for the sustainable development of the traditional Japanese companies established more than 100 years ago – in 16th and 17th century. He emphasized that the social interactions management and human resources management had built up a consumer loyalty which had been the major factor for the longstanding sustainable business development.

The guest-lecturer featured also the innovative fields for development of researched companies and answered in details the numerous questions.

Before the public lecture Prof. Kanda and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miroslava Rakovska discussed the opportunities of cooperation between the Bulgarian and Japanese university in the field of scientific research, student and lecturer mobility. Prof. Kanda took specific engagements for the realization of joint projects between the UNWE and Meiji Gakuin University.
