Application Documents

  1. Application Form;
  2. notarized copy of the diploma for completed secondary education and the transcript with grades;
  3. document issued by a competent authority certifying the candidate's right to continue their studies in higher education institutions in the country where the secondary education was obtained;
  4. Certificate for recognized secondary education issued by the National Centre for Information and Documentation (NACID) in the Republic of Bulgaria;
  5. Official note for the equivalence of grades in the score-forming subject issued by the National Centre for Information and Documentation (NACID) in the Republic of Bulgaria; (When the document certifying completed secondary education in a foreign school does not contain subjects with grades and/or when equivalence of grades from additional documents (academic transcript, certificate, appendix, etc.) is necessary for applying to higher education institutions, an official note is issued for their equivalence.
    The minimum average grade from the subjects in the diploma for completed secondary education that form the admission score (mathematics, literature, geography, history) for the specialty applied for must not be lower than 62 percent of the maximum value under the grading system used in the country where the secondary education was obtained.)
  6. document certifying proficiency in Bulgarian language issued by a higher education institution in the Republic of Bulgaria – for candidates who will not undergo language and specialized training (for candidates applying for a program taught in Bulgarian in the “Bachelor” degree);
  7. certificate of English language proficiency corresponding to at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (for candidates applying for a program taught in English in the “Bachelor” degree);
    Foreign citizens from countries where English is the official language and/or whose secondary education was conducted in English and who do not possess a certificate are admitted based on the grade in “English language” in their diploma.
  8. copy of citizenship documents – for candidates with dual citizenship, one of which is Bulgarian;
  9. copy of an identity document;
  10. two photos – size 3.5?4.5 cm;
  11. Document for paid administrative fee for submitting documents – 60.00 BGN.
  12. Copies of the entire set of educational documents – 1 copy.
    Documents under items 2 and 3 must be legalized, translated into Bulgarian, and certified in accordance with the provisions of international treaties between the Republic of Bulgaria and the country where they were issued, and in the absence of such treaties – according to the general procedure for legalization, translation, and certification of documents and other papers.
