The Contract for the University Library Furnishing Is Signed

The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and Elka Kamenova-Tsankova, authorized representative of the company TRANS CO 04 Ltd., signed a contract for the implementation of a public procurement for the supply of furniture for the modernization of the University Library. It happens within the framework of a complete renovation of the UNWE Library which was officially launched on 29 May of the current year in the presence of the UNWE Managing body, the designers, the builders and the company that will furnish it. On 21 December 2022 by the Council of Ministers Decision were allocated 1 940 000 BGN for the modernization of the Library with plans to replace the existing space with a modern information and knowledge center providing modern services for all students and lecturers.

"It is very important for any library to be a comfortable space for people and a good storage for books. The quality modern service is also dependent on functional library furniture. After the modernization the library center will become a shared space not only for reading but also for holding various initiatives such as open lectures, discussions, book premiers, etc.", said the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov at the signing of the contract.

"Through the furniture we will try to create comfort and convenience for work. The new library shelves and desks will be in light colours and will blend harmoniously with the surroundings", emphasized Elka Kamenova-Tsankova.

The signing was attended by the Assistant Rector Prof. D.Sc./Econ./ Kiril Stoychev, the Vice-Rector for Institutional and Business Cooperation and Student Policies Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova and the Director of Rector's Office Gergana Kirilova.
