Procedure on Conducting, Recognition and Credit Transfer for the Discipline of Professional Field /Block А/ Study Specialization Abroad

        

The Doctoral students that have chosen the discipline Study Specialization Abroad in their individual study plan can possibly implement it by inclusion in international projects and mobility programs such as:

  • Erasmus Programme – mobility activity
  • International specialized study programmes implemented by the UNWE or by universities abroad that are UNWE’s partners;
  • other international projects and mobility programmes.

   

The Study Specialisation Abroad has a duration of minimum 3 months.

   

Prior to starting the Study Specialization Abroad, the Doctoral student should prepare a working plan in a unified form of Agreement for Academic Specialization, signed by the Scientific Supervisor, the Vice-Rector for R&D and the mentor from the host university and it should contian a description of the activities performed during the specialization.

   

During the Study Specialization, Doctoral student should receive an Assessment Form by the mentor from the host university Certificate of Attendance and shall prepare Report on the implementation of the activities on the discipline /in a unified form/.

    

The Doctoral student should submit to the exam panel 10 days prior to the announced date for the exam on the discipline Study Specialization Abroad the filled in and signed documents and materials, developed during the Study Specialization Abroad /the prepared publication, an analysis of the survey of literary sources, parts of the PhD thesis/.

    

During the exam within 10-15 minutes, the Doctoral student familiarizes the exam panel with the material prepared in advance.

    

The assessment method on the discipline Study Specialization Abroad is based on a complex final grade. The following items are to be included in this grade each with a specific relative share: the results from the exam – the presentation of the prepared material during the specialization abroad /40%/, the assessment of the mentor from the host university on the results achieved during the specialization abroad /30%/ and the Report on the implementation of activities on the discipline Study Specialization Abroad /30%/.

The minimal grade for the successful conclusion of the specilaization is “Good /4/”.
