Solemn Ceremony on Awarding the Certificates for the Academic Positions of Professor and Associate Professor, the Scientific Degree of Doctor of Science and the Educational and Scientific Degree of Doctor at the UNWE

Prof. Dr. Nadezhda Hristova

shared that she was very excited because this happens once in a lifetime. She expressed her gratitude to her colleagues from the Law Faculty for their unanimous support throughout the procedure and to her family. She wished all her colleagues in robes good health and much professional achievements.

Prof. Dr. Nina Chilova

pointed out that today is a day filled with emotions, a day of great institutional significance. She expressed her excitement and personal contentment with the long and difficult journey filled with professional and personal challenges. She emphasized that although the academic growth is a solitary pursuit, without the support and understanding of the  family, colleagues and friends this day would not have been so emotional.

Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Spasov

expressed his gratitude to Mr. Valdis Dombrovskis and shared that it was a great honour to receive his Certificate from him. He pointed out that his relation with the UNWE dates back to 1998, when he started his second Master's degree and for already three decades he has been related to the University. He expressed his gratitude to his colleagues from the National and Regional Security Department and the Economics of Infrastructure Faculty for their support, as well as to his daughter Gabriela, who was present in the Maxima Aula.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasil Bozev

 said that the way had not been easy, but it had been meaningful because every effort in science is worthwhile. He expressed special gratitude to his family, parents, and colleagues - both within and outside the Department. He emphasized that it was not an end point, but rather a new beginning.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgy Tzolov

emphasized that he and all his colleagues in academic robes do not pursue science for themselves or for the sake of academic credentials, but for the people who will learn and apply it, for competitors who can learn from them, and for the University, which is the second part of their family.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Damyanov

expressed his gratitude to his colleagues from the Department and to everyone who had supported him, as well as to his family and relatives. He concluded with the message: "Let the journey continue, and let it be a good one."

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilia Gatovsky

commented that all stages of his journey had been difficult, but the last one had proved to be the most challenging, requiring the most time and effort. He expressed his gratitude to the Department, the Faculty, the Rector's Office, and the Science Sector, emphasizing that the results achieved were the fruit of the team's joint efforts. He concluded by saying that the last step had given him strength - strength of spirit, namely, The Spirit Makes the Power.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristian Atanasov

expressed his gratitude to everyone, first and foremost to Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev, Head of the Political Economy Department, for the trust in him. He shared that he has been working as part-time lecturer at the UNWE since 2010 and has always been impressed by the many young people who are colorful and eager for knowledge. He emphasized that it has motivated him to join the University when the opportunity arose and expressed his hope that he would contribute to attracting even more young people.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elena Kostadinova

shared that she feels deeply grateful for the opportunity to teach at the UNWE among colleagues she highly appreciates. She expressed her gratitude to her colleagues from the Department for their trust and good relations throughout her academic journey as well as her gratitude to her family. She emphasized her intention to continue practicing her profession conscientiously and with dedication. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silvia Georgieva

pointed out that it was an exciting moment, which she was delighted to share with everyone. She expressed her gratitude for the support of her family and friends on her way to personal and professional growth. She associated the festive spirit of the Enlighteners Day with the upcoming the Christian Family Day and greeted everyone, emphasizing that she was happy to be part of the academic family of UNWE.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nedko Tagarev

expressed special gratitude to Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, noting that he was the example that inspired him to begin his academic career. He als oexpressed thankfulness to all his colleagues at the University, emphasizing that "together we are stronger."

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Bozhikin

expressed his gratitude for the trust and recognition, emphasizing that receiving the certificate has a deep personal significance. He shared that it is not just a personal success, but an expression of responsibility to the University, the lecturers and the entire academic community. He noted that behind this moment lie years of hard work, support by the family, colleagues and friends, as well as active cooperation at national and European level. He concluded with an assurance that he would continue to work diligently for the good of the University.

Assoc. Prof. D.Sc. Alexander Naydenov

shared that he was excited because he saw his former students among the attendees in Maxima Aula, who are now Doctors and Associate Professors. He expressed his great joy and pride that his students continue to develop and achieve success in their academic careers.
