Bonsist Sports Complex
The beginning of the organized student sports in Bulgaria started at the UNWE when the first Student Sports Club was founded on 27 November 1923. A significant contribution to the development of student sports was made by the Summer Universiade held in Sofia in 1977 and for the purpose the Bonsist Sports Complex was built.
In 2009, the sports complex was completely renovated and modernized and became one of the most modern university sports facilities. Located next to the UNWE it provides excellent opportunities for students to choose from 12 sports, while those with injuries or health problems assigned to the therapeutic gymnastics classes.
Bonsist Sports Complex consists of indoor and outdoor sports facilities. It has a stadium, 6 outdoor asphalt courts and 3 soccer fields covered with artificial turf. The indoor sports facilities include 3 large halls where can be held basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, table tennis and fitness classes.
