Students Learned about the Role of Cadastre in the Real Estate Property Business

During the event Eng. Alexander Lazarov, CEO of Mapex AD, delivered a lecture on the Role of Cadastre in the Real Estate Business.

The Dean of the Business Faculty and Head of the Real Estate Property Department Prof. Dr. Georgy Zabunov introduced the lecturer and emphasized that since 2009 to 2013 Eng. Alexander Lazarov has occupied the post of Executive Director of the Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadastre Agency and he is the founder of the Geographic Information Systems /GIS/ Sofia. Prof. Dr. Georgy Zabunov pointed out that Mapex AD has been working for more than 20 years for the development of quality surveying, geoinformation services and providing services according to the highest standards in the field of surveying and geographic information systems and added: "I am convinced that this meeting will not only be very useful but also interesting for you, because it will give you the opportunity to gain experience and communicate directly with established professionals".

Main highlights of the exhibition of Eng. Alexander Lazarov were the ownership, the elements of territorial development, the impact of territorial development on the ownership and the impact of territorial development on the real estate investment.

The lecturer also outlined the importance of the Geographic Information Systems /GIS/ which are a set of computer software and hardware for creating and managing the geographic information.  Globally, and for years in Bulgaria, GIS has a wide range of applications in both the public and private sectors. They are used to successfully and reliably manage the information about the territory, assets and infrastructure.
