Center for Management of Dual Bachelor`s Degree Programme in Economics with the Tianjin Foreign Languages University /TFSU/ Was Opened

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and the Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria H. E. Dong Xiaojun opened the Center for Management of the Dual Bachelor `s Degree Programme in Economics with Tianjin Foreign Languages University /TFSU/ which will be headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivaylo Beev, Head of the UNWE Economics Department.

The President Rumen Radev sent a Greeting Address to the participants in the ceremony which was held simultaneously by the UNWE and Tianjin University. In the letter is noted that over the years our university has established itself as a leader among higher education institutions in Southeastern Europe and has become a natural scientific and spiritual center, generating new knowledge and skills for its graduates.

"We are extremely delighted with our work together. Our colleagues and students know that the programme runs very smoothly. Lectures and communication between the lecturers and students also goes very well in compliance with all standards", said the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov. He added that the Bachelor's programme project is sustainable and would continue developing successfully in the future.

"We also had a discussion with the Rector on how to increase the intensity of relations between China and Bulgaria, including in the field of education. I am sure that today we will take a big step forward in our relations and the Embassy will continue to support the efforts to expand the cooperation between the two countries", said in conclusion H. E. Dong Xiaojun.

Chen Fachun, the Rector of the Tianjin Foreign Languages University also delivered a welcoming speech online. He noted that it was an honour for his university to cooperate with the UNWE - the largest economic university in Bulgaria and in Southeast Europe. "It is a great pleasure to welcome you virtually. Congratulations to everyone who made the joint programme possible. Let me express my gratitude to the President Rumen Radev and to the Rector Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov for their support. Our university has programmes in the field of economics, law, arts. We have established cooperation with 252 universities and institutions in 42 countries around the world", explained the Rector of the Chinese University.

The objective of the Bachelor`s Degree Programme in Economics with English Language Teaching is to prepare highly qualified economists with a rich theoretical and applied knowledge of economics at a global level. The dual program is designed for students from China and it is "3+1" type - the first three years students study at the TFSU and in the fourth year those of them who have successfully passed their exams continue their studies at the UNWE.
