UNWE Was Awarded the Badge of Honour of Sofia

At an extraordinary solemn meeting on the occasion of the Day of Sofia the Sofia Municipal Council voted the awarding of honorary titles of the city. Sofia Municipality will distinct the UNWE with a Badge of Honour of Sofia on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary which the university celebrated in 2020.

"The University of National and World Economy - UNWE is the largest and the eldest higher economic school in Bulgaria. With its 100-year history it is the first in Southeastern Europe. The UNWE has 8 faculties and 500 lecturers, 300 of them are professors and associate professors. The University is a leader in Bulgarian economic science and its professors are authoritative researchers with recognized scientific contribution and publications in authoritative international editions as well as leaders and consultants of many European, national and university scientific research projects. Since its establishment until now graduates of the University of National and World Economy have been prominent personalities on a national and international scale”. It is pointed out in the motives of the Mayor of Sofia Municipality Yordanka Fandakova to the Sofia Municipal Council.
