Framework Agreement of Cooperation between The UNWE and The Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria - KRIB

The Rector of UNWE Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev and Kiril Domuschiev, Chairman of the Managing Board of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria – KRIB signed a Framework Agreement of Cooperation between both institutions. At the event attended the Rectors Managing Body of the university, the Director of Scientific Research Center for Good Management Practices Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tsvetana Stoyanova and Evgenii Ivanov, Executive Director and member of the KRIB Managing Board.

We were among the participants-founders who were invited at one of the serious initiatives in the field of economics – the institutionalization of Academy Economics. It was established two years ago by the initiative of KRIB and thus the largest employers` organization in Bulgaria lent a helping hand to universities, pointed out Prof. Stattev. A solid fund has been collected that covers the half of finances needed for a trainee scholarship position and the UNWE is one the preferred universities in the programme, added the Rector.

Prof. Stattev examined also the help of KRIB in the elaboration of projects for the improvement of academic plans and programmes in both major professional fields – Economics and Administration and Management where study about 90% of students of UNWE. Due to the support by the member-companies of KRIB in these professional fields are achieved significant result in compliance with the expectations of the business about the academic plans content, types of courses and necessary programmes for education of students at the UNWE.

The great challenge we have promised ourselves is to work out a general statement by the universities and business to expose our requirements to the state in the field of higher education, expressed his point of view as a Deputy Chairman of the Rectors Council Prof. Stattev. He greeted Mr. Domuschiev for publishing the magazine Economics which according to his words ’”integrates the positions of science, business, practice, state government”. It is an emblematical periodical edition for Bulgaria, outlined the Rector.

I am proud of signing the Agreement of Cooperation although even without it the partnership between the UNWE and KRIB has its history and traditions, said Kiril Domuschiev. The objective is to have well prepared professionals for the Bulgarian economy, young people who would like to find realization in Bulgaria having a solid education profiled and oriented to the demands of Bulgarian and European economy, commented Domuschiev.  The business in cooperation with the leading universities and the government will search for a fundamental reform in order of doing so that the educational system can provide the necessary professionals for our enterprises, outlined the Chairman of the Managing Board of KRIB.

We want and we are ready to help the universities as yours and it is a priority in our list, shared Mr. Evgenii Ivanov.

Participants in the event

The major priorities in the cooperation between the UNWE and the KRIB will be: informing the students from the UNWE for the internships and vacant work positions by the member-companies of KRIB; exchange of information about the activities and more important scientific, academic, business and other kind of events held or promoted by the KRIB. The Agreement also provisions assistance for participation of the KRIB representatives and its member-companies in presentations to students, in lectures, seminars, conferences and other events organized by the UNWE. It will be assisted the participation of lecturers and representatives of the university in meetings, lectures, expertizing, consultations, statistical and other kind of research and events organized by the KRIB; assistance by both institution for the conduction of trainings of specialists and employees from  member-companies of KRIB at the UNWE, etc.
