Lecturer from The UNWE Took Part in An Authoritative Forum in Paris

Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Rumen Gechev, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at UNWE, lecturer at the university and Member of the Parliament took part in the Inter-Parliamentary Conference which was held at the French Parliament in April.

A subject of discussions were the economic challenges to the European Union countries including the mechanisms of fiscal policy harmonization, binding the financial stability with the economic growth, alternative options for the EU behavior after the upcoming referendum on remaining of the UK in the European Union, etc.

Prof. Gechev made statements and suggestions related to the necessity of better coordination in the current implementation of monetary and fiscal policy, limitation of preferential tax regimes and avoiding the so called tax dumping and wider use of the public-private partnership in the field of investment.
