Presentation of The Initiative Entitled Language and Culture Assistants in Spain

At the invitation of the Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics Department at the university was held a meeting with Mr. Cesar Aja Marino, Counsellor for Educational Affairs at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in our country. Mr. Marino presented to students and lecturers the initiative entitled Language and Culture Assistants in Spain fluently speaking English and/or French language.

The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr. Daniela Koh-Kozhuharova, Head of the Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics Department. She presented the guest who visits our university for a second time.

Cesar Aja Marino clarified the requirements for applying and participation in the international educational programme entitled Language and Culture Assistants financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain. In the current year in it can take part also Bulgarian youths – graduates or fourth year students having excellent command (level C) of English and/or French language.

For the approved assistants is provided a scholarship for work as assistant teachers in English or French language at the primary or secondary schools in Spain for a year – since September 2016 to 31 May 2017 – monthly salary of 700 Euro.

The deadline for applying is 5 April till 12:00 p.m. Spanish time.

Before his lecture Mr. Marino met with the Rector of UNWE Prof. D.Sc.(Econ.) Statty Stattev.
