145 Prospective Students Participated in a General Competitive Exam in Mathematics in the Format of State Matriculation Exam at Our University
The UNWE jointly with the University of Economics – Varna, D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics – Svishtov and the University of Food Technologies – Plovdiv, held a General Competitive Exam in Mathematics in the format of State Matriculation Exam for general education preparation in which took part 145 prospective students.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milena Dimova, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the UNWE Applied Informatics and Statistics Faculty and Head of Mathematics the Department, welcomed the pupils with the words: "As a result of the successful partnership between several universities in the country, the implementation of the General Competitive Exam in Mathematics has already become a good tradition. Mathematics is the foundation of economic education, but also a powerful tool for the development of logical thinking and intelligence. I believe that all of you, as prospective students, share this conviction once you have chosen to take this exam, so I greet you for that".
The Scientific Secretary of Mathematics Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maya Mikrenska welcomed the participants and presented the opportunities for development that the University provides to its future students. She pointed out the benefits of the education at the UNWE as well as the key role of the solid mathematical preparation for the successful professional realization in the various fields.
The beginning of the exam was given after the prospective student Simon Ayzele from 31. Ivan Vazov Secondary School for Foreign Languages and Mathematics in Sofia drew the Exam Option No. 1.

The General Competitive Exam in Mathematics gave the prospective students the opportunity to work on tasks in accordance with the format of the State Matriculation Exam, thus they had a chance to test and confirm their knowledge and apply it in practice.
