Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Spasov Participated in Mobility under the Erasmus+ Program at Panteion University in Greece

In mid-May, Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Spasov, Director of the UNWE Nuclear Security Support Center and the Institute for Enhancing Research Capacity in the Field of the Nuclear Industry and Nuclear Security, lecturer at the National and Regional Security Department, participated in a training mobility under the Erasmus+ Programme at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Athens, Greece.

The main objective of the visit was to exchange best practices, learn about the host institution’s experience and discuss opportunities for developing bilateral academic cooperation between the UNWE and Panteion University

During the visit Prof. Spasov held working meetings with representatives of the host university, during which topics related to the development of the educational processes, international project activities and opportunities for future joint initiatives in the fields of security, governance and European policies were discussed.

As part of the mobility programme, a meeting was held with Prof. Dimitris Ziouvas, Professor of Criminal Law at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and the Project Coordinator for the Greek partner in the project Development and Implementation of Anti-Corruption Education Programmes for Universities in Bulgaria, Greece and Croatia /EDU-ANTI-CORR/, funded under the Erasmus+ Programme. Current project activities and opportunities to further strengthening of cooperation among the partner institutions were discussed during the meeting.

This mobility initiative has helped to strengthen the partnership between the UNWE and Panteion University and has created additional opportunities for the development of joint educational, research and project activities.
