Our Students Took Part in EXPO WITH CAUSE 2026
Students from the UNWE Public Administration Department and their lecturers - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Denitsa Gorchilova, Head of the Public Administration Department, and Chief Assist. Dr. Violeta Zlatkova from the same department – participated in the second edition of EXPO WITH CAUSE 2026 - an exhibition of civil society organizations promoting various social causes and encouraging altruism, which took place in April at the UNWE Library.
In the event took part 30 first- and third-year students from the Public Administration Bachelor’s Programme, who learned about the exhibitors’ work through speed-dating.
Among the participants in this year’s EXPO were Endometriosis and Reproductive Health Foundation, Giraffe Foundation and Maria’s World Foundation as well as The Future Now Association, Amnesty International Bulgaria Association and SOS Center for Public Support - Pernik.
The students received informational and promotional materials and had the opportunity, through group work, to present their understanding of the role and achievements of the six civil society organizations by proposing ideas for improving their online and social media presence. The boards of ideas prepared by the students were presented as gifts to the civil society organizations.

During 2025–2026 academic year the Public Administration Department actively works to implement its University with a Cause initiative. The Department’s team firmly believes that the mission of modern universities is not only to provide students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills, but also to foster their civic engagement. In the frameworks of University with a Cause initriative are promoted social responsibility, civic initiatives, youth empowerment and the organization and implementation of volunteer campaigns. An informal club called House of Causes has already been established at the Public Administration Department, and active work runs on initiatives such as Internship with a Cause and Learning with a Cause.
