Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Spasov Took Part in Lecturing Mobility Programme and in International Sientific Conference in Durres, Albania

Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Spasov, lecturer at the UNWE National and Regional Security Department and Director of the UNWE Institute of Enhancing Research Capacity in the Nuclear Industry and Nuclear Security /IERSCNINS/ and the UNWE Center for Nuclear Security Support, carried out a lecturing mobility under the Erasmus+ Programme at Aleksander Moisiu University, Durres, Republic of Albania. The visit took place within the framework of the inter-institutional cooperation between the two universities. As part of the lecturing mobility programme Prof. Svetoslav Spasov delivered lectures to students and lecturers focusing on the current issues related to Albania’s European integration, global security, corruption prevention and EU energy security.

During his visit Prof. Svetoslav Spasov also participated in the 16th International Scientific Conference on the AI and Sustainability-Driven Transformation: Reshaping Business and Society on the Path of EU Integration organized by Aleksander Moisiu University. He joined the discussion on Artificial Intelligence, Sustainable Growth and EU Integration: Challenges and Opportunities for the Western Balkans moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elton Noti. The other panelists were Dr. Pranvera Kastrati, Director of the CEFTA Secretariat; Prof. Majlinda Zhegu from the University of Quebec, Canada, Mrs. Megi Fino, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, and Dr. Odeta Barbullushi from the College of Europe. The forum brought together representatives from academia, international organizations and institutions in the region.

Prof. Spasov’s participation in the lecturing mobility programme and in the International Scientific Conference contributes to expanding the cooperation between our university and the partner universities in the region, strengthening the academic exchange and establishing the UNWE as an active participant in the European educational and scientific community.
