In 2014 the Alliance which unites more than 200 companies from all over Europe agreed to train 100 thousand young Europeans for three years and this goal is half achieved. The partners have already participated in more than 5 400 initiatives related to the “preparation for work”.

During the meeting were presented the projects and plans of the Ministry of Education and Science in the field of dual education as well as all the programmes in the field as it was outlined that at the UNWE they had been already implemented. The companies-partners in the initiative in Bulgaria reminded that for less than 6 months Nestle Bulgaria and the members of Alliance in our country had organized 80 different events and trainings with the participation of more than 30 000 Bulgarian youths and for the same period more than 1400 young people had occupied the opportunities for work or internship. There are dozens of initiatives of the Inter-University Center for Career Development as well as lots of joint and individual initiatives providing professional experience and internship to young people that help them find professional realization at the labour market.

During the event was also presented the research carried out by the company Nielsen among 635 business managers and specialists in Human Resources from 70 partners of Alliance for YOUth in 22 European countries. According to the data 66% of respondents had declared that the internships and professional preparation could lead to permanent employment but in many countries mostly in South and East Europe the dual education – a combination of formal education and training at the workplace -  hadn`t been offered yet.

In the frameworks of the event was also implemented a live connection with the European Parliament. It was shown a debate about the young people with the participation of the European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility Marianne Thyssen, members of the European Parliament, representatives of youth organizations and partners of Alliance for YOUth.
