The three-day programme of the visit was filled with meetings and discussions focusing, on the one hand, on the opportunities and challenges facing the women in European politics and, on the other hand, on ways to overcome barriers and promote a more balanced representation of women at all levels of government. The programme also included a visit to the Parlamentarium - a modern interactive center where the visitors learn about the history of European integration and the role of the European Parliament in the lives of millions of Europeans.
