UNWE is the host for the ENGAGE.EU Summer School 2025 on the Designing European Sustainable Futures – one of the ENGAGE.EU alliance's largest and most historic events.

The Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov welcomed a total of 37 participants from eight partner universities in the shared space in Campus K. "Hello and welcome to the University of National and World Economy! During the current week I visited different countries and took part in several international events, some of which were hosted by our university. The common theme among all of them, including the ENGAGE.EU Summer School, is sustainability and the future. I wish you success and hope that you will remember it for a long time and will proudly call yourselves alumni of our alliance", said Prof. Dimitrov.

The institutional coordinator of the ENGAGE.EU for UNWE Assoc. Prof. D.Sc. Michael Musov added: "At ENGAGE.EU you will find everything you need. Everything that we can achieve together – our European values, knowledge, experience and, most importantly, working together for a better future. For our team ENGAGE.EU is much more than a project – it is our European family. I hope your time here will be inspiring for you – learning and getting to know new people and cultures".

The main organizers of the initiative at the UNWE are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dragomir Stefanov and Chief Assist. Dr. Maria Dimitrova, who welcomed the participants saying: "It is an honour for us to welcome you to the fourth ENGAGE.EU Summer School. I believe that you will not only work on the topic, but also make valuable friendships and memories. Welcome to the UNWE – I wish you a joyful and unforgettable experience".

After the opening ceremony the participants began their journey to explore the university, organized by volunteers from the UNWE. Within the week the participants in the ENGAGE.EU Summer School at the UNWE will took part in several training sessions with lecturers from Bulgaria and abroad and will combine their activities with social and cultural events, networking and work on joint projects.
