Empowering SMEs through Financial Education: ERASMUS+ SEEDFund Project Meeting at Neapolis University Pafos

Neapolis University Pafos hosted the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ Project “SEEDFund – Empowering Entrepreneurs through SME Financial Education” from 29 to 30 May 2025. The Meeting brought together academic and institutional representatives from Partners across Europe to evaluate progress and coordinate next steps in a project dedicated to fostering digital resilience and financial literacy among SMEs.

The SEEDFund Consortium includes distinguished partners, such as Université de Strasbourg /France/, which serves as the Project coordinator, University of Piraeus Research Center and University of the Peloponnese /Greece/, Universidad de Burgos /Spain/, University of Economics in Katowice /Poland/, University of National and World Economy /Bulgaria/, SYNCNIFY /France/, PA Partners for Skills Development /Cyprus/ and the host institution, Neapolis University Pafos /Cyprus/.
The meeting agenda featured detailed presentations on the project’s progress with a special focus on Work Package 3 concerning the development of the e-learning platform and online course, led by the University of Strasbourg. In addition, Neapolis University Pafos and the University of Burgos co-led discussions on Work Package 4, which involves establishing a European network to support SMEs through a collaborative digital platform.

Dissemination strategies and policy engagement under Work Package 5 were presented by SYNCNIFY highlighting the project’s efforts to share results widely and influence entrepreneurship policy at both National and EU levels.
Dr. Georgios Deirmentzoglou, Project Scientific Director of Neapolis University Pafos, stated: "This project exemplifies the power of collaborative innovation and expresses the strong willing of European Commission in tackling one of the most pressing challenges for small and startup businesses in Europe; access to accurate and actionable financial information. We are building both the tools and the networks needed to support a more resilient SME landscape."
