The Rector Signed a Cooperation Agreement with Georgy S. Rakovsky Military Academy

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and the Head of Georgy S. Rakovsky Military Academy General Stayko Prokopiev signed an Agreement of Cooperation and joint activities at an official ceremony in the Royal Halls Complex at the Military Academy.

Through the Agreement, the two partners agreed to cooperate in the education of students as well as to jointly develop research projects for participation in competitions under national and international programmes. The Agreement also provides for the exchange of experience in the preparation of accreditation procedures, the incorporation of credit system, quality management system for training, healthy and safe working conditions and environmental protection.

The Coordinator of the Cooperation Agreement from the UNWE is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noncho Dimitrov, Head of the National and Regional Security Department and Coordinator from the Military Academy is Colonel Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dimitar Tashkov.

The UNWE and Georgy S. Rakovsky Military Academy are part of the consortium of the National Scientific Programme - Security and Defence. The programme was established in the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Scientific Research 2017-2030 and it was adopted by Decision No 731 of the Council of Ministers of 21 October 2021.

By the signing of the Agreement the two institutions officialize the good practices in their long-standing partnership and outline the prerequisites for a stable future cooperation.
