Our University Took Part in the Information Campaign for Prospective Students in Troyan and Kyustendil

The UNWE took part in the Information Campaign for Prospective Students in Troyan and in the Forum on the Higher Education in Bulgaria held in Kyustendil. Radostina Petrova, Head of the Prospective Students Division, Maria Pavlova, Head of the Students – Master`s Degree Division and Maria Bozhkova from the Marketing Sector answered the questions of the high school pupils.

At the meeting with pupils in Troyan the UNWE was among the 17 universities and 6 employers who participated in the Information Campaign. What is new in the current year is the presence of local employers who presented to the young people the professions and industries where they could find professional realization after graduation. The event was organized by the Centre for Support of Personal Development in Troyan in partnership with the municipal administration and the Labour Office Directorate. Veronika Todorova, Deputy Mayor for Humanitarian Activities of Troyan Municipality, opened the eventg with the words: "This event gives the students a great opportunity to make an important choice in their lives – the choice of higher education and career development and we are here to support them."

The Forum on the Higher Education in Bulgaria held in Kyustendil was organized by the Career Guidance Center at the United Children's Complex - Kyustendil, with the assistance of Kyustendil Municipality and the Regional Directorate of Education. It was attended by 19 universities. In his address to the future students, the Mayor of the Municipality Ognyan Atanasov, wished them to make the right choice and to continue building on what they have learned.

The prospective students were informed about the application procedures and deadlines, admission requirements and study programmes of UNWE. The pupils also knew about the prospective student competitions and contests organized annually by the University. The team of UNWE presented also the opportunity to study in some of the nine European universities through the university network ENGAGE.EU, whose member is the UNWE as well as the various chances to study in universities from 33 European countries on the Erasmus+ Programme. It was emphasized that in its 105-year history the University has been constantly modernizing, incorporating new innovative specialties and digitalizing its services. The prospective students were introduced to the material facilities of UNWE - the halls and auditoriums for studying, the renovated Library with shared spaces, the sports facilities providing 22 kinds of sports, the renovated dormitories providing excellent living conditions.
