The UNWE has at disposal one more movement device for people with mobility problems. This includes a stair climbing device combined with a wheelchair for people with disabilities, for which the supplier has provided training.

The Assistant Rector Prof. D.Sc. Kiril Stoychev emphasized that the UNWE constantly develops the accessible environment and all entrances have devices facilitating the movement of people with special difficulties.

The new device will be located outside the Pre-Medical Office /1003/ and will be used to take people for walks outside in the University's English Quad. To do this you will need to call the numbers written on the door of the Office. The platforms are actively used by students and visitors to the University and recently a diplomatic representative, on his visit to our University, used the platform at the main entrance.

"This device allows people with mobility problems to be transported. We have trained your employees how to use it. We focused on the most important points, such as the adjustment of the mechanisms and the correct attachment of the two parts", said Architect Miroslav Marinov, representative of the company Adapt BG – partner of the UNWE /in the picture below/. "You can always contact us for questions as well as for warranty and out-of-warranty service. We are the official representative of the manufacturer - the world leader Antano - an Italian company closely specialized in the production of this type of devices."

This is the second device the company has delivered. The other one provides access to the Rectorate. The University also has two permanent platforms - the largest one is at Campus K and the other one is at the Maxima Aula, as well as two mobile platforms for climbing stairs.

For the UNWE, the creation of equal opportunities and an accessible environment for education, as well as the successful integration into the social environment, is of utmost importance.
