During the different thematic rounds, according to the initial intention, the opportunities, challenges and directions for the future of the Alliance were discussed and analyzed in the context of the implementation of Task 1.4, namely the preparation of a Strategy until 2035, taking into account the specificities of the changing environment. The UNWE team actively participated in the discussions and contributed to the generation of ideas that will be presented to decision makers for modelling and adoption at a later stage.
All discussions were related to the main topics that affect society. These are sustainability, lifelong learning, interdisciplinarity, European competitiveness, shared benefits, societal challenges, global challenges, all seen through the prism of education and research, innovation, etc. A key issue tackled in the group was the active involvement and engagement of lecturers and learners in discussions on the societal issues.
Significant questions were raised about the impact the Alliance could have on the transformation of society in line with its initial strategic intent.
