UNWE Became the Best University of the Year at the Winter Bright Awards

The best companies from the business and tourism were selected at a ceremony of the Bright Awards Gala. The UNWE won the award for University of the Year at the Winter Bright Awards.

The event, organized by the Balkan Media Association, was held with the support of 20 leading media, the Ministry of Tourism and the National Assembly Committees. Winter Bright Awards has an objective to honour the most successful, most innovative and most inspiring companies.

From the UNWE the ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Vodenicharova, Vice Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschiyan, Chairman of the UNWE Control Council and President of the Association of Economic Schools in Bulgaria /AESB/, Prof. D.Sc. Pencho Penchev, Chairman of the UNWE General Assembly, Prof. Dr. Hristo Katrandzhiev, Director of the UNWE Center for Distance Learning. The event was also attended by Georgy Chernev, a graduate of UNWE and author of the logo and the banner of the ceremony.

On behalf of the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov the statuette for the Best University in the category Education received Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschiyan. It was awarded by Ivaylo Papov, Member of Parliament and member of the Parliamentary Committee on Education.

"I would like to assure you that our university deserves this distinction because we have the highest accreditation rating in Bulgaria, we are a member of the large ENGAGE.EU project in which we work with the universities of Vienna, Mannheim and Toulouse. Our graduates are accredited and have diplomas recognized throughout Europe. Our students have always been highly appreciated by the business community", emphasized Prof. Daniela Feschiyan.

Various companies and organizations were awarded in categories Law, Sports, Causes, Beauty and Health, Construction and Investment as well as for tourism services, best transport company, etc.
