The UNWE and the Rector among the Winners of Leaders of Influence Awards 2024
The leaders of inspirers of 2024 were announced during an official ceremony on the Leaders of Influence Awards 2024. The contest is organized for the second consecutive year by b2b Media. It honours the best persons examples of positive influence and impact who have already established themselves as opinion leaders in various business and public spheres and also recognizes those who defend important causes and succeed in inspiring the people.

The UNWE won the Leading by Education Award and the Rector Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov won the Leadership Award in the educational sphere.
"It`s a great honour for me to receive these awards. They are a recognition of the dedicated work, scientific expertise and high responsibility of generations of lecturers and scientists who have established the authority of UNWE as the largest business university in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe with over 100 years of tradition and 17 thousand students in all forms of study", said the Rector at the awarding ceremony. "The graduates of the UNWE are hundreds of our distinguished compatriots who have formed the elite of the nation. Proof for that is the current ceremony where ten people - graduates of our university - also won awards in different categories. Among them is the world champion in boxing Kubrat Pulev, who is also a successful graduate of Political Science from the UNWE.

Some of the most awarded companies were Postbank, Vivacom, Novartis and AstraZeneca Bulgaria as well as the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact.
Among the winners was also the best Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev, graduate of the UNWE who won the award for Public Personality of the Year.
Dr. Maria Brestnicka, lecturer at the UNWE Economic Sociology Department won the Network of Influence Award as part of the National Network for Children and Anelia Ivanova, also a graduate of our university, won the ESG Leader Award for Philip Morris Bulgaria and their programmes Recycle Together and Good Practices in Waste Management.
