Necessary Lessons in Leadership

Students from the university were given lessons in leadership by Nikolas Treand, Director Executive of the AURUBIS Bulgaria – the second company by the volume of its revenue and the most profitable steel company in Bulgaria. The meeting was held at the Large Conference Hall and it was organized by the non-governmental organization “Learning Together” and AURUBIS Bulgaria by the assistance of the Inter-University Center for Career Development. In the discussion participated also Evgenia Peeva, Director Executive of the organization “Learning Together” and Manuela Dyulgerova-Toteva, Manager of the Communications Division at the AURUBIS Bulgaria.

The attendees learnt about the mission of the non-governmental organization “Learning Together” and work at the AURUBIS Bulgaria. What is to be a leader in one of the most successful companies in the country, what qualities are needed and how to manage a team of 800 people students knew by Nicolas Treand. His first lesson began with the issue of the lack of a planning and ended with the following advice: „Derive benefit from everything you know”. According to the Director Executive of the AURUBIS Bulgaria in our country people work well in a team and each company needs people with fresh ideas and good motivation. Do not be afraid of challenges, be active , appealed to the students Treand.

The lecturer also pointed out that the management of the business "is not difficult, as long as you're not afraid to look for innovations”, the market “is variable and therefore it is necessary to implement modern things” and the desire of everyone should be “to be in the right place at the right time”.

A certificate of his activity as a market leader was awarded to Nicolas Treand by Evgenia Peeva, Director Executive of the organization “Learning Together”.
