A Chance for Career Development in The Dynamic Business Environment at The EY Bulgaria

The Ernst and Young Bulgaria and the Inter-University Center for Career Development organized a public lecture to present to students the company EY Bulgaria, its work and policy, internship programmes and opportunities for a job.

The lecture was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jordan Bliznakov, Director of the Inter-University Center for Career Development who expressed his thankfulness to the Ernst and Young Bulgaria for the longstanding useful cooperation with the university.

The main directions in the company work were presented by Nadia Mihova, Manager of Human Recourses Division at the EY. She outlined that a priority for the company had been the investment in young people, in their education and development as a base for the most important company ambition – creating a better working environment. Ernst and Young Bulgaria is part of the world giant EY – one of the four largest consulting companies in the world having offices in 150 countries. The team of the EY Bulgaria involves 219 people and the company services are arranged in several directions: business consultations, financial audit, corporate finance and tax consultative division.

The lecturer explained that the drive towards diversity had been one of the major characteristics of EY. Working at the EY includes the communication with officials from different nationalities and with different interests and it is a motivation which makes people thinking “outside the box”. “The consulting business is very dynamic and it explains its quick development”, pointed out Mihova. She examined also the internship programmes of the company outlining that the most important for them were the so called soft skills – for the team work, self-control, positive thinking and desire for development.
