Lecturer from The UNWE Is Elected for Member of The Commission for International Accreditation on Public Administration to The IASIA

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Polya Katsamunska from the Public Administration and Regional Development Department is the Bulgarian representative in the Commission of International Accreditation on Public Administration to the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA).

Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) is the largest international organization on Public Administration having more than 170 members from 70 countries representing all the continents and geographical regions in the world. In August 2013 it was elected and appointed the first Commission on International Accreditation of Programmes for Education and Training on Public Administration. The Commission is established as a result of the final report entitled Standards of Excellence for Public Administration Education and Training from 2008 elaborated by working group on Standards of Excellence for Peak Achievements in Education on Public Administration from the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) to the United Nations and in partnership with the IASIA.

The Commission on International Accreditation of Programmes for Education and Training on Public Administration includes 18 members which represent leading universities and school on Public Administration in the countries from Europe, USA, South America, Asia and Africa.
