Our Student Won The Award for The Best Delegate of NAPOMUN 2013
Bogdan Panayotov, fourth-year student in speciality International Economic Relations in the English Language participated in the Forum International Youth Model of the UN – NAPOMUN 2013 organized in Cluj-Napoca, Romania by the support of Babes-Bolyai University. Our student was the only Bulgarian delegate. His active participation in discussions and ability to persuade and achieve an integration of different positions in the Security Council brought him the award for the best delegate along with the Chinese representative.

The rules did not allow delegates to represent the positions of their own countries and our student presented the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg which along with Australia had a two-year statute of non-permanent member of the Security Council for the period 2013-2014.
The topics worked out by the delegates in the fourth edition of the Youth Model of the UN in Cluj-Napoka covered the conflict in Syria and the growing influence of China in Africa.

In the course of discussions in the Security Council Bogdan Panayotov succeeded to unite the other delegates on the issue of the conflict in Syria. The resolution prepared by him was supported even by the permanent five members of the Council which was rare in the real life.
