The New Academic Year at The Regional Center for Distance Learning – Haskovo Was Also Opened

It was also officially opened the new academic year at the Regional Center for Distance Learning of UNWE in Haskovo. Among the official guests were the Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Veselka Pavlova and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marcho Markov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lilia Jotova, Dean of the General Economics Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniela Feschian, Vice Dean of the Finance and Accountancy Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nadia Mironova, Scientific Secretary of the Management Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova from the Management Department as well as the deputy Jara Peneva, the Deputy Regional Managers Kadir Isov (alumnus of UNWE) and Ivan Stanchev, the Director of Atanas Burov Secondary School of Finance and Economics Tsanko Tsankov and many others.

The first-year undergraduates

The Director of the Regional Center Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jivko Draganov greeted the students for the beginning of the academic year and wished them success. He outlined that the Center facilities were renovated and there were 30 new computers.

180 was the number of first-year undergraduates who crossed the threshold of the Regional Center for Distance Learning – Haskovo and 80 Bachelors of Science began their education for Master`s degree. The total number of students at the Regional Center is nearly 500 Bachelors and more than 200 Masters of Science. Since the current year it is opened also the new speciality Accountancy and Control where 45 first-year undergraduates are admitted.

The Students Books were bestowed also on the students admitted in the other two specialities – Economics and Business.
