The Rector of the University of National and World Economy Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov and the new Rector of the University of International Studies of Rome Prof. Dr. Mariagrazia Russo signed an agreement for the continuation of the Dual Master's Degree Programme in International Business taught in English language between the International Economic Relations and Business Department and the Master's Degree Programme in Economics and International Management of the University of International Studies in Rome, UNINT.

The agreement between the two Rectors was signed in the presence of H. E. Todor Stoyanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Italian Republic. Ambassador Stoyanov outlined the support of the Bulgarian Embassy for the development of this bilateral educational initiative and noted that he himself is a graduate of the Master's Degree Programme in International Business taught in English of the University of National and World Economy. The meeting, held at UNINT, Rome, was also attended by Prof. Dr. Matilda Alexandrova, vVice Rector of UNWE for Educational Activities and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Boneva, Dean of the International Economics and Politics Faculty and Coordinator of the Dual Master's Degree Programme /in the picture below/.

"The internationalization and international activities are a major priority of the UNWE so the Dual Master's Degree Programme in International Business taught in English language jointly with UNINT is one of the real dimensions. We currently work on the development of other dual Master's and Bachelor's degree programmes and they build on the experience we already have within the existing dual programmes", said Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov.

"This is a workable and effective Master's degree programme that enjoys great interest. It is worked on by a team of dedicated lecturers who manage to select extremely ambitious students. The Master's programme is one of the successful dimensions of internationalization for UNINT as well", pointed out Prof. Mariagrazia Russo.

"The Dual Master's programme aims to develop knowledge, skills and competences in the field of international business. The education is very practical oriented. The programme which lasts 4 semesters is very well balanced - the first two semesters are held at the UNWE, and the third and fourth ones - at UNINT", said the Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Prof. Alexandrova.

"The Dual Master's programme with the UNWE is valuable because at the end of their studies all Master's students receive two diplomas for the completion of their Master's degree in English language issued by the UNWE and UNINT respectively. It is a sustainable Master's programme that is a priority for our two partner universities", said Mr. Fabio Bisoni, Vice President of UNINT.

"We are delighted that the collaboration between the two universities has actually gone beyond the Dual Master's Degree Programme. UNINT was one of the main international partners in the project Economic Education in Bulgaria 2030 /EconEd2030/ co-funded by the European Union. All joint activities, mobilities and publications implemented within this cooperation are real examples of the successful internationalization of our two universities", noted the Coordinator of the Dual Master's Degree Programme and Dean of the International Economics and Politics Faculty of Assoc. Prof. Boneva.
