Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pascal Zhelev from the International Economic Relations and Business Department had a productive academic stay in China delivering a number of lectures and seminars at several prestigious universities.

At the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, he delivered a Seminar on the Role of the Chinese Currency in the Global Economy and the topic provoked a lively discussion among students and lecturers regarding its prospects and impact.

During the Seminar at Beijing Foreign Studies University /BFSU/ Assoc. Prof. Zhelev introduced the audience to the stages of Bulgaria's economic transformation from a planned to a market economy and its integration into the European Union. The meeting with the Managing Body of the Institute of Bulgarian Studies opened additional opportunities for academic cooperation.

At Tianjin Foreign Studies University Assoc. Prof. Zhelev delivered a course of lectures on the Global Economy and held seminars on the current topics in the field of international economic relations, which were opened to undergraduates, doctoral students and lecturers.
