A Graduate of the UNWE is the New Chairperson of the National Assembly

The members of the Parliament elected Raya Nazaryan as Chairperson of the 50th National Assembly.

Raya Nazaryan has graduated from the UNWE Law Faculty. Since 2013 she has been a member of the Sofia Bar Association /SBA/. She works in the field of obligatory, property, insurance, family and inheritance law. She is a specialist in out-of-court arbitrations of commercial and insurance disputes.

She has been member of the 48th, 49th and 50th National Assemblies. She has also been Deputy Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption and a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs.

At the beginning of 2024 the members of the 49th National Assembly elected Desislava Atanasova, who is also a graduate of the UNWE Law Faculty, as a member of the Constitutional Court.
