The President Rumen Radev Honoured Prof. Dr. Lalko Dulevsky with the Order of Civil Merit First Class

The President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev honoured Prof. Dr. Lalko Dulevsky with the Order of Civil Merit First Class for strengthening the Economic and Social Council as a democratic institution.

The President awarded the state destinctions to four other Bulgarians for their contribution to Bulgaria's economic development. At a ceremony in the Coat of Arms Hall at the Presidency building, the Order of Stara Planina, First Class was awarded to Prof. Tsolo Vutov, Krasimir Dachev and Prof. Nikolay Valkanov. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Nikola Dobrev was awarded the Badge of Honour of the President.

The awarding ceremony of Prof. Dr. Lalko Dulevsky was attended by the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, the wife and the son of Prof. Dr. Dulevsky - Sylvia Dulevska and Chief Assist. Dr. Stoycho Dulevsky from the Public Legal Studies Department. Among the guests were Dimitar Manolov, President of Podkrepa Confederatin of Labour, Dobry Mitrev, Chairman of the Management Board of Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association /BICA/, Vasil Velev, Chairman of the Board of Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association /BICA/, Tsvetan Simeonov, Chairman of the Board of Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry /BCCI/, etc.

The ceremony was opened with the anthem of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Coat of Arms Hall and ended with a group photo with the President.

Prof. Dr. Lalko Dulevsky is one of the most respected lecturers of UNWE. He is a longstanding Chairman of the General Assembly (2015 - 2023) of the University and currently its Ombudsman.

The Order of Civil Merit is awarded to Bulgarian citizens who have great contribution to the development and strengthening of civil society, to the strengthening of democratic institutions and the protection of human rights and freedoms, and for their contribution and services to defence, the security and public order in the Republic of Bulgaria. The Order has two degrees - first and second with a white ribbon and with the Bulgarian national tricolour.
