The oral proceedings were held again at the halls of the Metropolitan Courthouse in two stages – preliminary and final rounds. The team of our university demonstrated its profound knowledge of international law in the questioned case and brilliant presentational and oratorical skills in the preliminary rounds. Anton Petrov (fifth year undergraduate), Ivailo Dimitrov(fifth year undergraduate), Ivelina Daskalova (fourth year undergraduate) and Krasimira Ignatova (fourth year undergraduate) with their coaches Inna Uchkunova and Stanka Cherkezova were ranked for the final stage of the national rounds. For a third consecutive year in the final stage of the competition the struggle was between the teams of UNWE and St. Climent Ohridski University of Sofia. After an extremely challenging meeting with the rivals and after almost one hour discussion of the jury that time the last year champions from the UNWE occupied the second place.

But the victory of the young alumni of our university in the written stage of the competition was absolute and categorical. They won the prize for the best written defences – as well as for a plaintiff as also for a defendant in the questioned international case.

The team obtained also the sincere congratulations and admirations for the overall performance from all the judges among which were eminent practical workers in the field of international law in our country and abroad.
