At A Working Meeting Was Featured The Relation Department – Business for A New Master`s Degree Programme
First working meeting with representatives of the leading commercial chain companies was organized by the Economics of Trade Department. A ground for the meeting was the future Master`s degree programme on Commercial Chain Companies Management which would be studied from the next academic year in distance form of education. Around the conference table gathered together Andrey Evtimov, Executive Director of Mr. Bricolage Balkans and Deputy Chairman of the Modern Trade Association, Vladislav Marinov, Head of the Human Resources Division at the Billa Bulgaria, Hristo Petrov, member of the Board of Kaufland Bulgaria, Marin Donchev, Deputy Chairman of the Central Cooperative Union, Emilia Elchinova, Chief Director of the Market Control Directorate in the Commission for Consumer Protection as well as the academic body of the Department.
Prof. Dr. Jordanka Vladimirova, Head of the Economics of Trade Department grounded the initiative by the necessity of providing not only the necessary theoretical but also practical knowledge in the future Master`s degree programme. She shortly represented the educational plans and disciplines as she outlined the important for the university relation with the business.

Participants from the leading commercial chain companies expressed their support for full assistance and readiness for cooperation. They had been sent in advance a project of the academic plan for the Master`s degree programme which was discussed at the meeting along with the elaborated academic programmes. There were discussed also the tangible fields of the future cooperation between the commercial chain companies and the Department: participation of the commercial chain company managers in the academic process; carrying student internship at the commercial chain companies and Commission for Consumer Protection; implementation of projects of mutual benefit; cooperation in the organizing of scientific events; participation in the Days of Career at the UNWE, etc.
