Chinese Delegation from Hebei University of Economics and Business Visited the University

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov welcomed a delegation from Hebei University of Economics and Business /HUEB/, China.

The Chinese delegation was led by Prof. Gao Xiaofeng, Vice President of Hebei University of Economics and Business. Members of the delegation were Prof. Zhou Yanping, Director of the Audit Office at HUEB, and Prof. Zhang Xiying, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Center.

During the meeting they discussed the possibilities for joint cooperation and the launch of dual Bachelor`s programmes which will educate Chinese students.

Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yanko Hristozov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rumen Brusarsky, Dean of the Finance and Accounting Faculty, presented the UNWE and outlined that it is the largest and most prestigious business university in Bulgaria. They acquainted the guests with the main advantages and opportunities for foreign students to study at our university.

The representatives of the Chinese university expressed their gratitude for the hospitality. They toured the UNWE and shared their pleasant impressions of the good learning environment and facilities.

In the framework of the visit a meeting was also held to present the specialities Finance and Accounting in English and Commerce and Sales. It was outlined that they meet the requirements of the Chinese side for the opening of dual Bachelor`s programmes. Funding for the student fees will be provided by the Chinese Ministry of Education on the condition that the programmes are included in the portfolio of both universities, have at least one graduate stream and have a high degree of overlap.

The delegation also met with the Chinese students from the Dual Bachelor Programme with Tianjin University of Foreign Studies who are currently in Bulgaria.

In June 2024 representatives from the UNWE will visit Hebei University of Economics and Business, China. During the visit the official agreements between the two countries to launch the application procedure with the Chinese Ministry of Education will be signed.
