Visit of UNWE Students to Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant on the Occasion of the 104th Anniversary of the Birth of Acad. Evgeny Mateev
As part of the subject National Structural Policy students from the speciality Strategic Planning visit leading business units in the national economy every year.
On the occasion of the 104th anniversary of the birth of Acad. Evgeny Mateev - the patriarch of Bulgarian economics and the founder of the Marketing and Strategic Planning Department - in the current year the students visited Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant under the guidance of Assist. Dr. Marin Marinov, lecturer at Marketing and Strategic Planning Department.

Our students gained a clear understanding of how the energy is extracted from the controlled reaction of fusion analysis. They commented on the investment and operating costs involved in the planning, construction, commissioning and decommissioning of nuclear reactors and the storage of spent nuclear fuel. The prospects for the development of nuclear energy were outlined in lively discussions.
At the end of the visit the guests expressed their thankfulness to the hosts and outlined the usefulness of the new knowledge acquired and the undeniable advantages of live communication with representatives from various areas of the real economy.
